the second stanza: intro and rules
Welcome to the second stanza!
This is an experimental site in which writers can get together, encourage each other to produce, and perhaps critique each other's work. The goal is simply to motivate the habit of writing and encourage thinking poetically - maybe even spark larger, individual projects.
The format, which may very well be changed along the course of the experiment, is this:
-Every week, a poetic restiction or criteria will be posted. All members are stongly encouraged to write a poem or some form of literary expression abiding by the posted rule. For efficiency in reading the posts, please title the post that contains your poem or work with the week number and then work title, for example: "6: Bourbon Watchdog."
-Each week there is a leader. The leader is chosen by the previous leader based upon the poem that he/she feels best completes the criteria of that week. It doesn't have to be the "best poem," but a work that is particularly interesting, witty, funny, or somehow otherwise attractive.
-Besides picking the next leader, the role of the leader is to post the next criteria. Please be creative! Everyone is encouraged to give feedback or opinions. It is still an open forum!
-Finally, please help me recruit!
